I have recently downloaded the latest stable version of QuteCom 2.2.1. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (x86) on an Intel Core 2 Duo T9300.

After having QuteCom open and idle for a certain period of time (either with a call in progress or not) there is high CPU usage spontaneously (~50%). If I then regain focus of QuteCom's main window, CPU usage drops. After a certain period of time, CPU usage spikes again. This is a cyclic behaviour. After a while I just give up and close QuteCom. As far as I know this behaviour did not happen in the previous public version 2.2.

Also, in general even when QuteCom is not in a call and minimized, there is mild CPU usage (2%~5%) for no apparent reason.

Let me know if you need any further information concerning my bug report.

Thanks!

In the current implementation, libpurple is initialized in

For this reason, libpurple might crash in very weird ways (as I actually found trying to use an external libpurple compiled against nss).

I think the easiest way should be handling initialization and every call to libpurple de-initialization of liburple inside that glib loop (which is created before initializing libpurple).

The alternative, more efficient, would be to get rid of the glib event loop and sue WengoPhone::runEvents() even loop also for libpurple. I do not know how hard it is tough, as it should also handle event on sockets.",cavedon

If qutecom is setup to asterisk and forwards a call to another computer on the lan then it seems like qutecom is trying to send stream directly to another qutecom client which is not desired function.

What happendse then is that sometimes user hear each other, sometimes they don't. Also playing with hold function sometimes restores working situation.

By looking at tcpdump i can see that qutecom is send udp stream directly to another qutecom client (which is should not do , since calls need to go through asterisk (for call monitoring etc.).

Active Tickets,47,(P2P?) Presence lost from time to time,3rd party libs,2.3,,defect,vadim,new,2009-01-30T12:08:28+01:00,2011-04-20T18:08:58+02:00,"Presence is lost from time to time. We're using P2P Presence, but this might also apply to server presence.

We traced this to qutecom sending a wrong presence packet, seems to be done automagically by the lib and the contents of that packet is hardcoded there.

Note that we modified the qutecom presence format (as indicated in the attached wireshark trace). The problem is present in unmodified qutecom, too.

In the attached wireshark trace (with 6 packets):

 * First two and last two packets are as intended (the first packet of two is the one we send out, the second one is received back from the infrastructure)
 * The middle two packets are the bogus packet sent automagically by qutecom. In particular it has a first tuple with ""closed"" status and a second tuple with open status.

Note the ""partysip"" stuff in the presence XML of the bogus packet.
This packet seems to be hardcoded in
wifo/eXosip/src/jnotify.c

The presence-info we changed (and which is sent correctly by qutecom) is in wifo/phapi/phapi.c (see macro PUBLISH_MSG_TEMPLATE)

So probably the automagic stuff done by exosip should use the presence format set by phapi and not use something hardcoded.

We currently have a workaround in kvats where we re-send the presence from inside the application using a timer. Since we send presence quite often, this narrows the window where no presence is seen down to some seconds. It's still seen by testers :-(",schlatterbeck

since Qutecom 2.2.1 is available two things happen.

First, is that downloading from the website gives this error:

Apache Server at www.qutecom.org Port 80

The second problem is due to the first one, in my opinion. When Qutecom 2.2 tries to install the new version it gets that error. After that, is impossible to run Qutecom because it crashes all everytime.

Trying to change the config file, is nop an option, at the moment. So, I think, fixing the website would resolve both problems.

Active Tickets,172,osip_dialog.c expects To tag for 100 response (wrong),phapi,2.3,QuteCom 3.0,defect,vadim,new,2009-12-04T13:02:48+01:00,2010-03-04T17:36:02+01:00,"Hi, when Qutecom makes a call and receives the required 100 from the proxy or PBX (without To tag of course), it complains:

}}}

Well, for sure a 100 response SHOULD NOT contain a To tag as per RFC 3261. Note that a 100 response is hop by hop rather than end to end so it's the proxy who originates it rather than the called endpoint. So a To tag in a 100 response is completely useless as we want to create a dialog with the endpoint rather than with the proxy :)",ibc

just had the following situation:

I installed Qutecom on my laptop. I log on to my own Windows account and it starts normally. After a while working on something my mother wants to check something quickly where she logged into her own Windows account (without logging me off, so both were simultaneously logged on) and on both accounts Qutecom is configured. The OS is Vista Business.

The Problem now is: Qutecom won't start on the second Windows logon if concurrently it's already started in another Windows account.

I think Qutecom has a mechanism that prevents it from starting twice which is useful but the detection whether it's already started seems to go over account borders which it shouldn't do.

Thanks for looking at that!",neo
